We are currently seeking a Site Quality Manager for our Utility Division that will support work in Texas.

Salary:  $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year


What you’ll do:
  • Responsible for overseeing all activities associated with the Quality Control and Assurance (QA/QC) of all utility-scale projects during engineering and construction.
  • Support and create QA/QC process for utility scale. 
  • Constantly evaluate and improve our day-to-day operations, processes, people and procedures to ensure customers see and receive value in our services.
  • Responsible for tracking key business performance metrics for QA/QC, understanding efficiency metrics and suggesting as well as implementing tactics to continuously advance the division’s performance.
  • Develop and drive growth strategies to expand QA/QC department and services throughout new territories.
  • Collaborate with C&I QA/QC team to roll over applicable standards.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure that the QA/QC division effectively supports our customer promise across the enterprise.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and training to enhance the QA/QC division’s likelihood of success
  • Develop and implement training programs to provide continual internal education alongside operations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement to determine preferred project vendors and materials.
  • Support and maintain a culture of collaboration, accountability, trust and customer focus.
  • Review and manage contract QA/QC requirements.
  • Regularly attend and participate in Project meetings
  • Support and develop transferrable training process for all field activity.
  • Oversee compliance with QA/QC activities for personnel and contractors on-site during construction in accordance with federal, state, local and other governing regulations.
  • Lead or support any special projects related to quality control, training, and asset management
  • Actively engage in both developing and running the department, as well as, working in the department to maintain necessary service levels and response times.

What you’ll bring:
  • 8+ years of experience managing and developing Quality Control and Assurance programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related degree preferred
  • Extensive technical understanding of solar PV energy installations
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard practices
  • Proficiency in project management tools for scheduling, budget management, etc.
  • Experience in negotiating, managing, and executing contracts
  • Experience in quality and safety leadership
  • Capability to independently manage and grow a business in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization and analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in an organized and accurate manner
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen
  • Must have a good driving record and maintain a valid Driver’s License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Sit at a desk 6-8 hours per day performing tasks on a computer
  • Requires minimal physical effort with periods of walking, standing with some light lifting of files
  • Minimal bending, stooping or reaching

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Requiring normal safety precautions with minimal occupational health and safety risks
  • Moderate to low noise levels
  • Requires considerable concentration
  • Stresses induced by changing environment, diversity in the organization, strict deadlines and high volume of workload
